On April 4th, local time, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) announced an investigation into OpenAI, the company behind the development of the ChatGPT chatbot, over allegations of "OpenAI collecting, using, and disclosing personal information without consent." This is another regulatory agency taking action against ChatGPT following Italy's previous investigation.
